The Conventional 1% Down loan program is a lender paid down payment assistance grant that allows income-qualified borrowers to put 1% down and UWM will pay the additional 2% toward the down payment, up to $4,000, for a total of 3% down.

Benefits

  • These loans follow Home Possible guidelines, so they also are able to take advantage of the Home Possible LLPA caps. The caps make it easier for underserved areas and underserved borrowers to achieve homeownership. These borrowers can’t typically afford to buy down their rate, so the 1% Down program helps incentivize them.
